Seven Components That Define Vibrational Astrology 

  • Vibrational Astrology is evidence-based and uses controlled studies. VA aims to give clients practical and useful information.
  • VA looks beyond the 12 Divisions of the horoscope wheel. We are stardust — made up of a universe pulsating with a symphony of vibrations. Life does not stop at or divide neatly into twelve! For instance…
  • We use (not so) “minor” aspects of the circle, such as 5ths, 7ths, 9ths, 11ths, etc. but we don’t stop there.
  • We use harmonic charts. The harmonic charts are not the natal chart with harmonic aspects drawn in. They are derived from the natal chart, but each harmonic chart is entirely different. Your strongest harmonic may be 242, like Taylor Swift, or higher!
  • We study direct midpoint structures (the center point between two planets, and planets in aspect).
  • We look at planets and houses as performing particular functions, rather than relying solely on the mythological archetypes as popularized by Hellenistic Astrology. For instance, Saturn is focused on what is absolutely essential. Venus shows the ways in which the native is attracted to beauty. From there, archetypes play out. 
  • Aspects and midpoints are energy patterns that inform our lives. Zodiac signs show how we approach life and our attitudinal make-up.

For the past several years, I have studied intensely with Linda Berry, astrologer, harmonic astrology research analyst and astrology software programmer. Linda has co-authored several Vibrational Astrology study guides with David Cochrane, invented software for advanced calculations, and is at the leading edge of creating new techniques and software to further the study and use of vibrational energetic astrology. I am honored to be her student. 

My dear mentor, Rick Levine, world-renowned master astrologer, has also been pushing the boundaries of the traditional horoscope reading, going beyond Ptolomeic aspects. Now, Rick looks at what were called “minor” eighth harmonic aspects along with natal chart quintiles, septiles, etc., in every reading. Point being, astrology is moving toward the recognition that cosmobiologic/harmonic energies paint a much richer and more complex picture   —   revealing much more about a person, a relationship or an event — than can a traditional reading.

I feel privileged to have been exposed to this next-level knowledge, and I am sure it will be a lifelong endeavor. The VA community is constantly running new experiments and writing papers. I look forward to running some of my own experiments. 

I now incorporate vibrational/harmonic energy in every reading. I also offer a more in-depth harmonic reading for those that are ready to take that journey. For instance, consulting on major transits to the natal chart for a time period using vibrational astrology adds a rich level of guidance direct from the stars. Copper wire, wood base. I created this piece in late 2008. For this work, I aimed to convey both the industrial heaviness of an airplane, but also the cloudlike floating quality you feel when you’re in one.
