Meditation for New Beginnings: The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction at the 0 Aries Point

A few minutes before this historic conjunction at 11:54 AM EST on Tuesday, February 20, 2026, an intimate group of astrologers, yogis and interested friends gathered together for a brief discussion, meditation and chant to embrace the energies of this new era ushered into existence.

The event is as real as any event in the universe, and its reverberations will be felt for generations. How significant it is to be living witnesses to the beginning of the beginning, namely the zero point of Aries, which is the beginning of the zodiac and zodiac cycles. Although Saturn-Neptune conjunctions happen every 36 years, the last time it occurred at the zero Aries point was around 7000 BC. It marked a major transition in human development, as homeosapiens transitioned from a nomadic hunter-gatherer existence to one of establishing communities and working the land.

The entrance of the planet that is the gatekeeper between the inner and outer planets (Saturn), in company with the mistress of mystery and otherworldliness (Neptune) into the FIRE element is the grand debut of the change of elements that will come into full agreement when Uranus enters Gemini on April 25th. Starting June 30, the group will get a grand, heart-centered supercharge for a year when Jupiter enters the sign of Leo.

By Jun 30, 2026, the outer and slowest traditional planets will form an alliance in Air and Fire, with Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune in fire signs and Uranus and Pluto in Air signs. July brings us some powerhouse lineups, but we’ll save that for another post.

The meditation I chose for this historic event can be used every day. It has many useful qualities, including strengthening the glands and the nervous system, but it also balances the “tattvas,” which in yoga means the five elements. Goodness knows with the profound elemental shift into fire and air, we will need to call upon this balance for a long time to come. The vibrational astrology signature of this conjunction shows the promise of empathy on the personal level and spiritual growth, information and transformation on the collective level.

The mantra that we chant for a few minutes afterwards, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, is foundational. We are calling on and are one with infinite creative consciousness. We will need to strengthen our nervous systems to ride with the waves of change ahead, and thrive. Kundalini yoga is designed to do just that. Calling upon divine creative consciousness and our highest teacher self is a good way to stay centered daily.

Saturn-Neptune in Aries is doing what is essential to make the unreal real, to manifest dreams and ideals in an authentic, genuine way. Saturn-Neptune is the signature of the spiritual seeker. So, doing what is essential to turn dreams into reality,  punctuated with sudden breakthroughs and outbursts of quick yet helpful communication (Uranus in Gemini) in service to the community at an almost obsessive level to create positive transformation (Pluto in Aquarius), coming from a generous heart (Jupiter in Leo).

So I ask, as the planets line up in air and fire, can we approach these times with radical and unexpected outbursts of authentic and unconditional friendliness?
